Drive-in Movies?

OK, so not quite just yet (but it’s an idea?!) – just to tell you that if you are coming to FILMBOX tomorrow evening, the new BIG car park, right slap bang next to the very front of the school, will be open.

Then please enter via the main front glass doors.  See you then!

24hrs before check in for ‘Midnight in Paris’!

Our film ‘flight’ to Paris tomorrow evening (Wed 13 Feb)  is now completely full – enjoy our patrons’ lounge before you take your seats, open from 6.40pm.

Enjoy our keenly priced licensed cafe, soft drinks and local snacks (Kent Crisps, Potash Farm Cobnut Brittle and Fudge, The Cocoa Mistress chocolate kiss and leopard print lollies, Simply ice cream – all Produced in Kent).

You’ll also get the chance to sample a complimentary tasting of The Cocoa Mistress’s range of delectable chocolates!

Enter our raffle, £2 for 1 ticket, £5 for 5, for The Cocoa Mistress chocolate hamper (worth £40) and a FILMBOX hamper (worth £28).

At 7.30pm, we’re starting with a short film (6mins), an ice cream break, raffle draw and intro to main film and we’ll be landing well before 10pm.

Bon voyage! We hope you all have a lovely flight and decide to fly with Air FILMBOX again!

NB: ONLY ONE TICKET LEFT FOR GAEL GARCIA BERNAL IN ‘NO’ (WED 27 FEB) at time of writing.

Our Paris ‘flight’ is very nearly full…

Either treat yourself to an early Valentine’s Day night out next Wed 13 Feb (and great value too – no over-priced red roses here!) OR just come and enjoy an entertaining and funny film with friends at your new local arts centre, we will be running a licensed bar tonight on this occasion (open at 6.40pm) and some scrummy ‘Produced in Kent’ nibbles and meet some like-minded locals who enjoy films. Oh… and enjoy complimentary tasting of The Cocoa Mistress’s handmade chocolates!

Love in a box

Even if Woody Allen isn’t your ‘cup of tea’, you’re sure to enjoy Midnight in Paris (2011, 12A)  (BTW – he’s not in it…) – you’ll be transported to Paris in the 1920s and learn that too much dreaming and nostalgia can ruin the present! Owen Wilson turns in a great performance and the film is full of entertaining cameos from top actors (and celebrities from times gone by).  Plus – you’ll be sure to book a trip to Paris at Easter after seeing this! If you’ve never been to FILMBOX, it’s held at the new Langley Park Centre for the Performing Arts. Free car park, clean loos, no popcorn mess, a safe relaxed environment with added extras – do try us. Even if you’re not a member £7 is great value, and our bar prices are keen.

Only a few tickets left – book asap at www.ticketsource.co.uk/filmboxcommunitycinema . À bientôt mes amis!
