SEE #LaLaLand #BetterOnTheBigScreen HERE £8/5 – 21 JUNE #Beckenham #Bromley #Penge #films #cinema

See ‘La La Land’ AGAIN on our BIG screen with a live jazz intro on Wed 21 June. Joyous escapism (we could do with some of that) and great performances (Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone) and superb songs that’ll stay in the mind long after you’ve seen the film.

A modern musical with a tinge of realism and more than a nod to films from the past. If you haven’t seen it – see it with us! if you have seen it – SEE IT AGAIN! Book below NOW…

Our Summer season of films is selling quicklynow open to the public. Tickets £8 and £5 (under 18s). Great value bar opens 7pm – Kentish ice creams in tubs only £2. 20cl bottles DOC Prosecco only £4.50 – many other drinks too.

Fasten your seat belts TONIGHT for MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (15)! @BeckBromFL £8/5

Tickets are still available for Mad Max: Fury Road with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron TONIGHT Thursday 26 May. Licensed bar open from 7pm and film programme from 7.45pm. Whilst Tom Hardy is always watchable, it’s really Charlize Theron’s picture and Miller has created a strong post-feminist post-script to the previous testosterone and gasoline-fuelled Mel Gibson films. OK, OK, so it’s still testosterone and gasoline-fuelled – BUT with a difference…

It’s all about the girls and should have been called ‘Mad Maxine’. In the awards season this February, the film garnered many awards (6 Oscars and 4 BAFTAs, just for starters!) for its superb technical and crafts work – so come and marvel at it! This is a film about spectacle and determination, not narrative, so fasten your seats belts, for a full-throttle break-neck ride down Fury Road… and back!
