See this great classic on Thursday 17 May at 7.45pm, bar opens at 7pm… Directed by Nicholas Ray, In a Lonely Place (PG) is a classic film noir with Humphrey Bogart, in one of his best performances, and Gloria Grahame (whose story Annette Bening brought to life recently in ‘Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool’) from 1950 (B&W). It looks superb on the big screen and is a romantic/tragic thriller set in LA about a Hollywood screenwriter accused of murder and the young woman who is irresistibly drawn to him.
