Calling all businesses in LB Bromley & areas – Sponsor our 1st Birthday FREE Film Festival

We are celebrating our 1st Birthday with a FREE FILM FESTIVAL open to all on Sat 28 & Sun 29 September 2013 based at Langley Park Centre for the Performing Arts in Beckenham.

For a donation (suggested £25) your business/local group can be featured as one of our fab festival sponsors, both in our social media and in the festival programme.

We are showing FIVE FREE FILMS across the weekend and we expect to attract a total of over 600 LOCAL PEOPLE for the films – FILMBOX patrons are typically aged between 20 to 60+.

We are also happy to distribute your promotional literature, balloons or whatever you like during the weekend itself.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO US!
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO US!

Please remember that we are a not-for-profit venture and are fully self-funding and your donations will help to ensure the continuance of FILMBOX as an exciting new local arts venue for the London Borough of Bromley and surrounding areas – we are FORTNIGHTLY (except for school holidays) from this September. Our surplus profits go to local and national chariities.

You can see the festival programme we have planned here https://langleyfilmbox.wordpress.com/coming-soon/ and can email Vivienne to discuss your requirements at LangleyFilmbox@gmail.com.

FREE tickets for the festival must be booked online in advance – open here very soon: http://filmboxcommunitycinema.ticketsource.co.uk/

Help to shape your very own local cinema club in Beckenham… become a member of FILMBOX now!

How about joining FILMBOX ready for its new Autumn season? Join before 20 August and bring a friend to our ‘Members’ Only‘ social event on Friday 30 August – only £5 per ticket for one drink and canapés (additional refreshments available) and see a FREE screening of the 1974 version of ‘The Great Gatsby’ (directed by Jack Clayton) with Robert Redford as the eponymous Gatsby. Sparkling reception from 6.30pm, film programme from 7.45pm – dress code: Black tie and glamour!

Here’s how to become a Member of FILMBOX: http://langleyfilmbox.wordpress.co,/membership

Save 40% on up to 2 cinema tickets for fortnightly films (on alternate Weds and Thurs) and special events from 1 September 2013 to 31 August 2014!  Even if you only see 6 films in this period you’ll break even! Bring a friend and you’ll save lots of money!

If you live in Beckenham, West Wickham, Bromley and surrounding areas, FILMBOX is now a credible independent compliment to local commercial cinema programming and offers you ‘catch-ups’ and classics from the UK, Hollywood and World cinema, in a social context.

FREE parking, no popcorn mess, congenial cafe/bar atmosphere, local drinks and Simply ice cream (from Ashford) plus ‘extras’ – short films, free film notes and intros and a great social atmosphere. Based at the recently built Langley Park Centre for the Performing Arts, FILMBOX is a community cinema club, run and staffed by volunteers and our surplus profits go to charity including Langley Park School for Boys.

Help to shape our second year by becoming a member of FILMBOX – but if membership is not for you, we’d be very pleased to see you any time! We have lots of new and classic films coming your way, starting with the current release of ‘Robot & Frank’ (2012) on Weds 11 Sept, followed by Hitchcock’s masterpiece ‘Vertigo’ (1958) on Thurs 26 Sept on the HUGE screen in the Bromley Hall and then Buster Keaton’s silent comedy ‘Sherlock Junior’ (1924) on Fri 27 Sept, accompanied by international professional jazz artists, the Buster Birch quartet (http://www.busterbirch.com). Then on Sat 28 and Sun 29 Sept we have our FREE film festival to celebrate our 1st Birthday! Details to follow…

Do please tell your friends and help us to turn FILMBOX into YOUR great community cinema!
