FILMBOX Community Cinema is a not-for-profit fully constituted membership club (also open to non-members) and this privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website, or our other web services, such as our online membership and box office facilities.

What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you become a Member of FILMBOX Community Cinema or buy tickets online.  This information is limited to:

  • your name
  • your postal address
  • your email address
  • your preferred contact phone number
  • you can also elect to provide information about your demographic (ie age, gender, ethnicity and disability) when you become a member, but this is not compulsory. This information helps us in analysing the audiences for our films. This information may be also be used (in anonymous statistics only) when completing surveys from the national organisations we are members of, such as Cinema for All, BFI Neighbourhood Cinema and  Film Hub London

How will we use the information about you?

  • FILMBOX Community Cinema will only collect information about you to manage your membership,  process your ticket purchases and, if you agree, to contact you about forthcoming screenings and other events we think may be of interest to you
  • We will only contact you by email or online newsletters
  • We will never post anything to your postal address
  • We might use your phone number only in an emergency or if there is a problem with an online payment
  • We will not share your personal information for marketing purposes with any other organisation or company
  • We do not store or circulate hard copy records of personalised membership or personalised box office data.

Payment Information
Online payment takes place at our payment processors, Ticketsource for ticket purchasing and PayPal for memberships, through MemberMojo.  No card or account information passes through our servers. See below for the Privacy Policies of those companies.

Marketing
We would like to send you information about film screenings and other events which may be of interest to you.  If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date.
