2012-13 Programme

FILMBOX Film Programme – 2012-2013 – this is what we showed in our first year:

Wed 26 September 2012: ‘The Artist’ (M Hazanavicius, Fr/Bel/USA, 2011) – FREE launch event – IN BROMLEY HALL (accompanied under 16s very welcome, Cert PG).

The Artist

How we got started – We were very grateful to receive £200 from Bromley Arts Council, especially at such a difficult time for public spending cuts, and this financed our film licence for the event. The School kindly donated venue/duty manager hire for just this event. We had a retiring collection which raised £500 from the 330 guests who came on the night and this provided our start up fund. We have been self-financing ever since (and pay for our film licences and Blu-Rays as well as venue and duty manager hire) but are very keen to identify grants and sources of funding for us to develop as a digital cinema with a weekly programme, as the London Borough of Bromley has no independent cinema venue.
