Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay in a master-class of thoughtful, intelligent and understated film-making in this award-winning British drama about a couple on the eve of their 45th wedding anniversary, who discover a secret from the past which threatens to change everything. A rare treat – nominated for BAFTA Outstanding British Film and Rampling won a Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Film festival – she is quite amazing in it. Despite being completely overlooked in the BAFTA Best Actress section, Rampling has just been nominated for an OSCAR for Best Actress – so do come and see it!
