Wed 2 Dec 2015 – Mr Holmes (2015, cert 12A) – Ian McKellen is irresistible and elegant as the elder Sherlock Holmes, who recalls past triumphs, failures and a romantic adventure – trailer:

Wed 8 Dec 2015 – It’s a Wonderful Life (1946, cert U, b&w). You’ll definitely want to begin this year’s Christmas celebrations with this timeless tale from Frank Capra for all the family, with Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey, who gets to see what the world would have been like without him – with live seasonal music from marvellous a cappella group Just Voices, mulled wine and mince pies. It will become your annual Christmas tradition, promise. Trailer:
Sat 12 Dec 2015 – Frozen: Official Sing Along (2013, cert PG) – MATINEE PERFORMANCE. Refreshments from 1.30pm and film programme starts at 2.30pm. Find a child or grand-child to bring (or a group of vocal friends), grab some fairy dust and sing your heart out! A new Christmas classic, not just for children. We’ll start with one number sung all together to get everyone tuned up. We sold out quickly last year, so don’t be late! Little ones and fancy dress VERY welcome! Trailer:
