Based on a painting originally found in Kenwood House in Hampstead, London, 1779 painting of Dido Elizabeth Belle (1761–1804) and her cousin Lady Elizabeth Murray (1760–1825)’ by an unknown artist, and the recipient of FIVE international awards so far, BELLE (Dir. by BAFTA-award winner Amma Asante, UK, 2013, cert PG, 104 mins) will be shown on Wednesday 21 January 2015 in Beckenham, SE London.
