17 Oct – The Orphanage and El Molino

Tonight’s programme: FILMBOX PROGRAMME OCT 12

Tickets are now available for our Halloween film, ‘El Orfanato’ (Bayona, Sp/Mex, 2007, Cert15).

A great modern Spanish ghost story with English sub-titles, remade by Hollywood as ‘The Orphanage’ (but our Spanish version is better).  If you liked del Toro’s ‘The Devil’s Backbone’, you’ll love this – it features an excellent cameo by Charlie Chaplin’s daughter, Geraldine, a big dark house and a very moving ending.

Tickets for this introductory screening in Studio 609 (max 72 seats): only £5 each.

Delicious complimentary tapas from El Molino tapas restaurant (nr Clockhouse, Beckenham) from 6.45pm, cinema doors open 7.15pm, film starts 7.30pm, unreserved seating.

To order tickets please print off this form Oct booking form  complete and send/hand deliver it, together with an SAE and a cheque (payable to ‘Filmbox Community Cinema’) to:

FILMBOX Box Office, c/o Langley Park School for Boys, South Eden Park Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 3BP.

Please do not contact the School about FILMBOX, any queries pls email:

In the event that we are sold out we will return your cheque in the SAE directly.  If successful, your tickets will be posted in your SAE if time, or available on the door (we’ll have an online box office by Nov.)

No ads, no parking charges, no popcorn munching or cola slurping!  First come, first severed… (heh, heh)!  We have limited space, so don’t delay.

Hope to see you there!
