Everyone is now ready and looking forward to tonight’s special launch event.  We now have over 320 people coming to watch The Artist this evening and lots of reliable staff and student helpers to get the show on the road! Our guests tonight range from staff, students, governors and families from Langley Park School for Boys, colleagues and families from neighbouring schools and local residents, including people who heard about us via Twitter. so we now seem well set to be a community cinema for Beckenham and surrounding areas.

We are also very pleased to have Gary Mercer and Sarah Clout from Holwood Farm in Downe, a new farm shop with a deli and coffee shop opening on Tuesday 9th October 2012, Stephen Harrington from Harrington’s Kitchen, a bread-making school in Beckenham, and Nick Marquez from El Molino, a favourite tapas restaurant near Clockhouse, all joining us tonight. Stephen Harrington is kindly bringing along some of his freshly-baked focaccia to share with guests tonight, as it is our intention is to feature different local businesses in some way each month to offer our film club members a social experience with added value!

We are a not-for-profit community cinema with a membership, open to non-members too. Run by dedicated and energetic volunteers.
